The right answer to this question is… that there is no right answer! At the end of the day, you bought the cigar, you can cut it however you prefer! Sure, a V cut or a punch cut may be a bit cleaner allowing less shards of tobacco to enter your mouth while smoking, but if you like a straight cut, go for a straight cut!
